Protecting Rack and Cello Packs

What are some ideas for protecting rack and cello packs? Short of getting them graded?

You could do what I do with all my cards. Put them in a box in your closet and never touch them image

I keep my raw rack packs inside plastic sleeves with a cardboard backing inside and my cellos inside a sealed "team" bag (the one that has the adhesive seal on the flap). Seems to work fine.

Yes, when I got most of my rack packs, I got these long plastic sleeves that fit MOST rack packs (but I can't get the 1984 Donruss one in it). Makes them much easier to handle and you don't have to worry about wearing the sections out.

Is there any holders (not slabbed) that will work with wax packs? See, I'm afraid if I handle them too much they'll "come apart" open or whatever.

Most of my cellos go into plastic team set boxes without any problems. Racks just get put into comic book bags folded over with a backing board.
