Anyone buy raw singles from the Beckett Marketplace?

Was looking at a bunch of stuff on there. Unless you get a lot of singles it's kind of pointless with the shipping you have to pay. My first pass through I had $2.16 in cards and $16.18 in shipping. Kind of like sportlots though I suppose. Focus to one or two sellers each time to avoid the massive s+h and it pans out.

How has the quality of raw singles been in comparison to described condition? Was a card described as Mint or NM-MT actually better than Ex-NM? I'm sure one seller is better than another, which is what I've found on sportlots as well.

It's pretty similar to sportlots. I've gotten some gradeable cards and some overgraded ones. I did buy some really nice 1991 OPC sets cheap that yielded a few 10s.

I had pretty good luck with the condition. I would compare it to Sportslots with my experiences. I also collected relatively newer cards so it wasn't difficult to expect something NM instead of NMMT. I pulled a couple 10s and a lot of 9s out of both places.

The one thing I would be cognizant of is that with Beckett, there's no recourse if you don't get your card. You have to rely on the seller. I had a card not show up after about 3 weeks (when everything else got to me within days) and tried to file something through Beckett. They emailed me saying that I had to take it up with the seller. The seller refused. I ended up getting it about a month later with the postmark a couple days after purchase.
