I have been playing about with my camera trying to get some better pictures of my coins. I thought I would share my world gold coin pictures with you. It is a side line in my collecting interest but steadily growing.
Please feel free to post pictures of your gold coins it would be interesting to see others too!

Oops, I found this guy was waiting to go to the bank and seemed worth a scan. Byzantine, emperor Focus (or Phocus if you prefer) 602-610. Gold solidus with a nifty double strike.....

I've given up trying to photograph gold. For whatever reason, *every* picture I take of gold, whether raw or in a slab, looks like the coins are beat to hell and back. Marks are accentuated far more than on silver, nickel or copper.
