Does this bother anyone else?

Maybe it's just me, and i'm the one that's just not getting it. Let me know what you guys think of sellers like this. I'm looking at complete vintage sets on eBay, and come across a complete 1973 Topps baseball set, so I click on it, and here is the seller's description.

"Since sets are hard to grade, I would just call it a mixed grade set. Look at the pics and you can see the condition of some nicer examples & you can grade it for yourself."

He offers 8 pictures, and here is one of the pictures that he expects you to get an idea of the condition from:

  • great photo, very crisp. it's easy to see that it is the 73 Topps set. what else would anyone possibly want to know?? image

Ask him for scans of Schmidt, Aaron, Mays, Yaz, Morgan and All Time HR leader. The condition of these cards will determine the value unless he has a bunch of potential common 9s or 10s which is not likely.

I'm steering clear of him, but if I was silly enough to have interest I'd rather get a scan of the Ryan than the Yaz and Morgan.

Well, I personally find the fact it's in 18 cards in a sheet enough of a red flag.

I think you talk about estil's cards more than he does.
So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

Nope-- this doesn't bother me at all. I just take the seller at their word and bid what I'm willing to pay.

You had me there until I realized you didn't capitalize the G in God. I'm going to pass on your 14 cards at this time Lee.
