evenly worn, like an old tire

I love it though! I'll add this to my low-ball Crown collection this week. i had my eye on another sweet worn Crown a few days back, but i forgot about the auction and Don walked about with it. Drats!
now if only Ron tells us he is introducing a low-ball Crown registry, Don and I can battle to see who has the world's worst Crowns!

The even wear speaks to originality and usage (history) and eye appeal, the silver dollar-size is satisfying to heft and feel and precious metal content, the grade allows you to (carefully) handle the coin.
All in all, very satisfying!

<< <i>A well-worn (say F-15 or AVF English crown from the early 1800's (as long as it is evenly-worn) is one of the most attractive type of coins you can own.

I think you nailed it! these worn Crowns certainly are lookers, and you don't have to baby them as you would MS pieces. good points!
