You should cut them all up and sell them to Upper Deck

I'm assuming everyone's just waiting until the last minute...because even I'm the high bidder on some items, and I rarely bid let alone have any high bids going into the last day.

If I win anything, they really need to consider doing less auctions each year...because I'd venture to say there will be a lot of unhappy sellers.

    Duner,
I picked my cards up from Bill Goodwin after his last auction and we discussed how much of this stuff is recycled either on Ebay or other auctions. In a way some of it almost pyramid scheme like. People coming in the last couple of days looking for "bargains" and seeing how fast they can flip it. Absolutely nothing wrong with that and the auctions houses are making 17.5%-20% on all sales.

I wonder how many people start looking through the auction and checking an SMR (which could be way off) on an item that they have no clue about thinking they can make some money. For example a football collector diving into hockey. I must admit I have flipped stuff on these auctions. Sometimes I did OK other times not so good.

The best is way is to put in your max bid the first day and wait for two and a half weeks to see what happens. Not only does the 20% hold some items down but the 10% raise on each bid does as well. You hit a point on a $2000 item where you would not feel bad about another $50 raise on your bid, but another $200 takes you out of the process.

    Good Luck on your auctions.

Good point Czar, you need to figure in the 20% premium, 10% bid hike, and 25$ (I believe) shipping charge into all the items.

No to pi$$ on your parade but why would you advertise an unfinished auction that you're trying to win?

And to top it off, stating that you can flip it for "a lot of $$$$$$$$$ image" on eBay?

You may want to play it more on the down low next time.
