Results from 1st submission

Here are the results from my first submission. I obtained the cards from a hand collected set purchased from a local card store. The results are pretty much what I expected, although I was hoping for a Rice PSA 8.

86,s are tough also hard to gauge for many

What did you expect for grades? How did it compare? 86's are a tough one, if it's a big star, take one grade off. I still can't get 86's right most of the time, but basically I say "man, this is a lock 9...so I'll guess 8" and I usually hit it dead on. I'll grade normally for most of the other sets I grade and hit them right on. But for 85's and 86's, it just doesn't work that way. Some great cards of some HOF'ers though. Gotta love that.

White – 9
Marino – 8
Reed – 8
Young – 7 (oc top to bottom)
Smith – 9
Rice – 8 (oc top to bottom as well)

I can live with the grades, as I just sent in the stars from my raw set. I will send the Kosar and Montana in for the June special along with other submissions. On a side note, I’m putting together the ’86 Topps set in PSA 9 and the ’49 Leaf set in PSA 5 & 6; let me know if you have any available.

Good grades for a first sub with 86 topps football. I've seen and done much worse

If they extend this special into next month, I'll be sending in a bunch of 86's from my rack breaks. As of right now, I have no 9's to part with. I did just pick up a PSA 9 Rice rc last night though. I have 2 8's that I may send in for review.
