I was studying the SMR values for 1965 Topps baseball psa 9's when I noticed SMR lists 1-370 commons at $65 & 371-598 commons at $80. I automatically assumed that the 4th series must have ended at card #370 and the 5th series started at #371. It turns out both cards 370 & 371 are in the same 5th series (353-429). So commons 353 thru 370 from the 5th series are valued at $65 and commons 371 thru 429 (ALSO from the 5th series) are valued at $80. Short prints don't appear in this set until the 7th series. So why does SMR assign different base values to commons that are in the same series? Didn't all the 5th series cards have the same prints runs? Any thoughts...

As for why the higher you go in number the more in value IMO is less were produced in general.
SP 65 Topps cards are plentiful.
