What's up with this weird (excessive) ebay page hits??

Hey guys, just wondering if any of you who sell on ebay have seen this strange phenomenon.
I have a few 1972 Topps auctions up... a Foli IA #708, a Kaline, and a Ron Reed #787... all in PSA 8. Obviously, I expected a lot of activity on the Foli IA due to its very low pop. I've seen about what I expected on it (a little over 100 so far with 1 day to go), but what has me baffled are the exemely high number of page hits on the Reed. As of right now, that auction has 359 page hits... well over 3X the amount of the Foli page. What's really weird is that this really appeared to start happening only about 2 days ago. Before that, it had shy of 50 hits. But now, it seems to be getting like 10 per hour of something close to that anyway.
My question is this... what could be causing this? Could the hit counter be malfunctioning? Are there certain types of search programs that could be causing this? It's not like the there are a lot of bids as a result, so it seems as though something else must be in play.

<< <i>Your auction could be the subject on a bulletin board. I know when auctions are listed on this board, they can easily get a couple hundred extra hits. >>
That's exactly what I was thinking.

BigCrumbs! I made over $250 last year!
I usuallt like to debate things (topics), but i cant argue with this one. I have ungraded 1962 Topps baseball cards up for sale on ebay in high grade with an avg of 22 hits. My Lee Walls went from 56 this morning to over 105 4 hours later.
I may have to pull this card from ebay and send to Mastro
