1990 Topps Frank Thomas #414 NNOF....SCAN

What do you think of this card? It seems to be 100% authentic to me and all the lines are solid under a 10X loop.
So here is the story. I went to a small mall card show in Roanoke, VA. It is about 1hr 45mins away. It is only a one day show but it is uaually pretty decent and about 10-12 regulars set up. So I get there and set up and make my rounds. I buy a Jordan Fleer RC PSA 5 for a good price, but that starts me well in the hole for the day. I then see a new guy set up and check out his stuff. He has some nice cards like a Banks RC that is very clean with only one dinged corner and a sweet 54 Mays. He wants nearly book for them though. I then saw the NNOF Thomas and it was the first one I had ever seen in person. Thanks to reading these boards I felt pretty educated on this card so my first thought was "Wow there is a NNOF Thomas!" followed immeadetly by the thought "I bet its counterfeit". I asked to see it and he pulled it from the showcase and I looked it over closely but I was still unsure, but was hoping for a really cheap price that I could gamble on. I asked what he wanted for it and he said "Well, we don't have a Beckett, but it books $450 in Tuff Stuff" So I asked what he wanted for it and he said $450, I thought thats too much to gamble on. I asked where he got the card and his father of about 60 said he had pulled it in a wax box in New England where they were from. I told him that I had wondered what type of product they came out of and he said that the shop he got the box from had produced atleast 3 of them back in 1990. He said that many of them had been distributed in products that went to the NorthEast. How true any of that is I am not sure. I went back to my table and thought about what I read on these boards and called my mom and told her how to check ebay completed items to see if there were any on there. It took her a while but she called back and she managed to pull up the kityoung PSA 8 that is over $650 with 4+days left. So I went back to the guy and asked what the bottom line was. He thought it over and said $350. So now I am thinking, I am gonna buy that card, maybe I can wait him out or atleast get some other cards with it. Then his dad comes over and tells me that he bought a beckett and that it is a $600 card and they are pricing it at $550, but since his son had told me $350 that price stood only to me. I looked at the card a few times over the day and noticed the guy was having a slow show as he was high on most stuff compared to other dealers. Near the end of the day I took a 1990 Topps Ken Griffey Jr. I found and a 10x Loupe that I keep in my car over to his table and looked the card over with the loupe to really chech the printing and make sure it was authentic. As soon as I saw how smooth the line are and the small text was perfect I felt it was legit. Until then I had not REALLY looked at the condition other than to just make sure it had no major flaws. When I had the loupe on it I realized....this is a pretty nice card. I offered $250 and he turned it down, then I said well If I buy for $350 can you throw me in those 2 87 Fleer Bonds RCs? He thought for a min and agreed. I think I might come out alright on the deal.
I am not a PSA member and I was thinking of sending the card to BGS, should I do that or join PSA to submit it to them? If I join PSA the free vouchers say no cards over $500, how do you base that value? Could I submit this card with one of those?
And one last question......Just for fun, what do you think a PSA 10 of this card would go for?
Thanks to everyone on the board who educated me about this card or I would have thought it was a has been card that Beckett has never lowered down from the error cards boom. And I also learned what to look for to verify it to be authentic.

More like a 9 for sure
Nice grab there Mr. Allen !
I would send it to PSA and hope it goes to a Fan of the card .
From what I see , the corners look fine and the borders are only slightly off, I see no tilt at all .
Best of Luck to you .

Unless it has changed, there is no $ value limit on the freebies.
Card looks like an 8 or a 9 to me. Congrats on the find!

the last PSA 8 Thomas brought $770 and a BGS 8.5 brought $900 so it seemed like BGS might be a decent way to go on this card.
