It could have a decent shot, but the t-b centering may be what's holding it back.
"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

I think you should buy 2 8s and 5 9s and send them all in at the same time. I think you will get one. Chaz no matter what card anyone shows when they ask a condition of a card. You always seem to low ball it. That card looks like a 10. I would like to see some of your raw cards and see what grades you give them.
<< <i>Why? Its a 1980 Phil Simms rookie card, not exactly the most desired card. But its your money so go ahead. Good Luck I guess....... >>
I would suspect that it would help his registry out and there is a bump in value:
SMR Price
PSA 9 $60.00 PSA 10 $325.00
My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)
I think it's possible. but i also don't think it's possible to tell a 9 from a 10 via a scan (to be honest I dont think you can tell the difference in person either)

Chaz really has little knowledge about card condition. He just likes to be the devil's advocate.

Chipy, I really dont appreciate this comment. Its rude and obviously not well thought out. Barry asked for an opinion on whether the card would bump to a 10. He didnt ask for someone to bash his collecting interest.
NO SOUP FOR YOU!
Barry, as far as the card is concerned, I think it may have a shot but the t/b centering may be the only issue.

"Chipy" Wow I like that LOL....its.....just sexy.....thanks!! My post was certainly not to bash his collecting habits and I apologize to the OP if it came across that way. Upon re-reading my post I can see where it could be interpreted as abrasive and that was not my intention, therefore my post will be removed to reflect that. We all collect for many different reasons and I certainly do not judge anothers collecting habits. Again, my apologies to the OP.
You can call me "Chipy" anyday you'd like, I think I am in lawnmowerman love LOL...

A psa 10 in that card sells in the $300-425 range. Definitely worth the bump from a $50-$60 price tag in a 9. Plus it's a pretty low pop IIRC.
Looks sharp enough from the scan, but it's a small scan and you don't see the back.
As for Chaz, ignore him. I'm still confused as to how and why he's still posting here. But I guess we need someone here to "keep it real".

The t/b centering may be an eye-appeal issue for
some of the graders; maybe not.
