Almost 20 grand for "one of the originals"? Even if it was THE only one in the history of the show I'd still pass.

Don't people know they can buy lots of little pieces of cardboard with pictures of other men on them for that price?

Since it's for charity, the buyer can claim any amount over the "fair market value" of the microphone as a tax deduction. An aggressive stance would be to say the microphone is worth $100 and take the rest as a deduction.
