Actually that's not a bad sig when you take into consideration that Nolie was standing at a urinal at the time and only had the use of one hand. image
  • Maybe the COA is for the pre printed signature and he just forgot to mention that the card had some ink marks on the front.

Personally, I like his Yaz better.

Edited to add my question to the Seller:

What stunning autographs you have! Prior to submitting the BIN on most of your items, mind if I ask where the COA comes from? I look forward to your response and can't wait to get my hands on these!
So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

It would have been funny if the autograph actually read "Doug Maddinley" instead of Don Mattingly. image

Interesting that the Nolan Ryan should be on a 1977 Topps because the signature printed on that card is fake too...
  • Those '77 cards are a sin. What the hell is wrong with people!

Moose, do you mean that the card's "auto" is fake? That was Nolan's style of signing his name back then. He had at least two very distinct ways of signing. The signatures from his Ranger days is the one most folks are familiar with.

  • I just spent a couple of minutes going through his hockey autographs since thats my area of expertise. Most are real some our blatant fakes

    Specifically

Chris Chelios - he has 2 Chelli autographs the 90-91 card is fake , the magazine is real

Keith Primeau - the 90-91 card is fake (i got a bunch of 90-91 Primeau autographs back in 91)

Paul Coffey - the 90-91 card is fake
