How much, if anything, does PSA deduct for off-white borders (and is it normal for 1984 Donruss)?

You know, cards that have white borders that become, well, not-so-white due to age? It almost seems like PSA totally ignores it yet it does make a bit of difference in the card's eye appeal. The main reason I'm asking is that my 1984 Donruss set is otherwise pretty much NRMT/MT, but the borders are off-white on the front, yet they're snow white on the back. Is that normal for 1984 Donruss?

    Someone more with more modern card experience might correct me on this but I think the factory sets and wax had slightly different color borders. I'm not sure which was the "whiter shade of pale".

    See, I'd hate to spend all that money to say, get a 1984 Donruss factory set (okay, BBCE's $65 price tag is nothing compared to what it was in late 80s/early 90s) to upgrade and then the borders are no whiter. All my other Donruss sets 1982-91 were from factory sets.

    As far as factor sets go, I know that they were cut different and the borders appear thinner on factory cards, I would take this question over to the PSA forum and there is a 84 donruss thread there.

    Ask your question on the 84 Donruss thread in the PSA SET REGISTRY THREAD. There are alot of folks who can help. I am sure BUG or ARNY can give you some good advice. They have helped me a lot with my set.
