Someone wanted Cubs pics...here you go!

It's been awhile since I posted some pics. Here are a couple of Cubs items recently unveiled by my company. The '69 Cubs infield (actually shot in 1970) is priceless. I bought the negative from the photographer for my Dad (Father's Day). He loved that team. It is likely the most expensive freaking negative I will ever buy in 35mm, but it is a STUNNER!
Anyway, enjoy!

  • The '69 Cubs were THE TEAM!

For the past few years I have been working on assembling a complete run of autographed 8x10 photos of every single person on that team.

There were 41 players on the team. So far I have signed photos from 35 of them. The only ones remaining are five dead guys (Hank Aguirre, Dick Selma, Joe Decker, Randy Bobb and Charley Smith) and one tough living signer (Jimmie Hall)

I'm still holding out hope that Hall will respond to my request. I feel there HAS to be signed photos of Selma, and Decker in Cubs uniforms. Aguirre and Smith were only briefly with the Cubs so they might be near impossible. Randy Bobb died in 1982 so I don't think my collection will ever be complete. I may have to settle for 3x5 sigs of them.

  • downgoesfrazier,
Thanks for another great set of pictures, your posts are always some of the most enjoyable. Should you get a chance to post some older Cardinals some time that would be great as well. I better watch it, might get in trouble for talking about the Cardinals in a Cubbies post.image
  • H.A.,

Here are a couple of Cardinals images. I have quite a few, but not too many fully cleaned and ready to post up...hard to go wrong with these guys though...
