Wow, looks like someone got a little out of hand with the scissors on that one..

Oh sure, if that is the case I can make any card Mint with a pair of my trusty scissors.

  • 100% positive rating. Shows there is a "parallel card buying universe" where buyers are unperturbed by things like trimming, centering and bogus grading companies.

Seeking primarily PSA graded pre-war "type" cards

    My PSA Registry Sets

34 Goudey, 75 Topps Mini, Hall of Fame Complete Set, 1985 Topps Tiffany, Hall of Fame Players Complete Set
  • At least the trimming is obvious, I suppose.

The seller also has some nice 54 Topps Si "cards". He gives them quite an appealing pitch. I wonder how many he just cranked out of his canon inkjet and slabbed in his homemade holders ?

That is a seller that I would never buy from. I don't get how sellers like him can dupe folks into buying that crap and not feel guilty about it.

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

He seems to have several thousands of dollars in sales with not one card that I would consider legitmate or unaltered. I hope he gets hit by a bus.

  • I'm confused, are the 38 Goudey cards the one's with the 'big head' photo super-imposed over the cartoon body? Is this item actually worth what the bidder supposedly paid for it?

It looks like he's cutting crap out of magazines and newspapers and slabbing them. Jesus, the crap people fall for.

I was checking out his completed auctions and noticed that he has had several "1938 JOE DIMAGGIO "GOUDEY ROOKIE CARD #1" GRADED MINT 9" Cool huh?

  • Have looked at the fees that this so called "grading company" is charging.image

Looks like most of the so called 38 Goudey auctions were private and won by buyers with less than 50 Transactions. Could he be shilling his own private auctions to make the cards look legit ?

  • From the bsvagrading.com web site...

    PROFESSIONAL CUTTING

add $2 extra per item cut or separated - Card Sheets, Stamps, ads, Magazine Cut Out Cards, or any other items removed from an external source.

In order to separate cards from a sheet- the entire sheet must be submitted for grading. Fees for grading of all individual cards on sheet must be paid. (Example. - if a sheet contains 4 cards, all 4 cards must be cut and graded and fees for 4 cards must be paid to qualify for submission)

    --------------------------------------------

Based on the cutting job on that Nate Archibald in the 1st post, I don't think I would trust them to cut anything.

WOW, I didn't know that 1972-73 Topps basketball did a MINI version. Does anyone have a wax box of these I can buy?
  • Whats not to trust?

At least the centering is perfect.

he has perfect feedback because if you are dumb enough to actually bid for one of his cards, then you dont know any better....its not like you bid on a scan of a PSA card, and open up an envelope and see his homeade slab....he is showing you clearly what you will get, his homeade/home-grade "cards"....he probably mails the card out the minute it sells, in a safe , well packaged box....
