Live 1979 OPC box break plus a couple packs each of 1977 and 1978 opc!!!

I ordered a box of 1979 OPC Baseball, 3 packs of 1977 OPC Baseball and 2 packs of 1978 OPC Baseball. I know BBCE usually is quite prompt with shipping so I will HOPEFULLY have the product by the end of the week. When I receive the product, I'll do a live rip! I cant wait!

My hands are already itching to rip them open!!!

Any suggestions on what order I should do this rip?

I am nearly done my 78 OPC set...I dont expect to even get any I need but it would be nice! The 77s will be the beginning of the start of a set for me. And I have about 80 cards from 1979...hopefully this will put me together a good portion of a set! And BTW, Im still working on 1980 and have about 100 cards to go if anyone out there still has any to sell or trade!

    I busted two rack and four vending and pulled . . .

    Three Ozzies.

    One looked like a dog gnawed on the corner.

    The other two were terribly centered.

    I wonder if I should do OPC sets someday? I mean, they do have brighter colors than the Topps sets; too bad they have those "hairy edges" though and cost more image

    And thanks for the well wishes, guys. I wish we could all pull big stuff on wax rips! This will be fun...it's been a long time since I have ripped anything like this.

    BBCE is in Illinois and I am in NY. Package shipped via UPS on Tuesday. Im fully expecting it to arrive today...or so I hope. I am patiently (impatiently) waiting for the UPS truck to pull into my driveway! Cmon UPS!!!! Get here already!!!!

    Scanner is BURNING ready to go!

    I think I either got the last box or near to the last box from BBCE bcuz they are no longer listed. 70s/early 80s OPC is on fire!

    Steve said he was about out when I ordered my last two boxes, he told me he had sold a bunch since I started doing the live rips on here.

    I have been looking at those boxes since he put them up. Your live rips did get me wanting a box even more. Then watching ebay prices I thought I better grab one now because 180 was an excellent price. Glad I got one...whew!!!

    Wow, OPC sure has become quite popular around here lately, hasn't it? Good luck finding that Ozzie rookie, though from the way the cards typically come out from the last OPC box break I've seen (the infamous hairy edges), you're going to have to really beat the odds to get a 10. But like our local lottery slogan says, somebody's gonna win, might as well be you! image

    Hey, I consider it a blast just to look through a 28 year old set! image But still, I'm sure yankeeno7 will have a LOT of fun opening his packs! Don't forget he's also got a few 1978 and 1977 packs to open too! Hope he at least gets some HOFers in those. image

    Say, is the 1979 OPC box still 540 cards (15 card packs x 36 packs)? If so, it's actually possible to get a whole set (374) out of your one box. Let us know if you do manage to make a set (or how close you get to it); good luck! image

    It's 10 cards per pack and usually coallation is pretty rough...so I will be happy if I get 60-70% of the set.

    One of those boxes I ripped had two Ozzie cards so maybe there is still a nicely centered one in there somewhere, I'm sure I'll be able to help you finish out your set when you're ready. Estil, I ripped four boxes and was still 14 cards short of a set.

    First 78 pack..there was also a Jorge Orta. It was nice that I got the JR Richard because it was the only common I still needed for my set!
