Anyone else following this auction?

Fantastic-looking Westphalia Thaler eBay auction. I would be setting-up my snipes, if I wasn't already tracking a few high-priced items for my primary collection that I am planning to win. I wonder if those are hairlines on the obverse, though. Cool-looking coin, nevertheless.

It is not really something I am interested in per se, but I do have it on my watch list just because it is in pretty sweet condition all things considered and want to see what it goes for. I came across it early this morning (last night). I would rather spend the coin needed to buy that one on a Prussian Thaler or other items on my "core" list of collecting first though... I am pretty sure whoever ends up with that one will be pretty happy with it.

I am concerned with the quality of the pics though, if I were going to list a coin of that value I would make sure the entire coin were visible and clear, even if I had to list extra pics to show the toning (what I think the seller was trying to do). The reverse does look like it has been wiped as Doogy said, but I could live with that if it were mine...

That was odd. It shot from $350 last night to $470 today and now it shows as no longer available. I wonder what happened...

I low-balled 'em by offering $28, and they accepted it. lucky me!

Possibly someone questioned its authenticity. Would ebay pull it until verified? Anything different in the two listings? Nice piece, but not in my areaimage
