PSA Reviews From Qualifiers to NQ

I know there have been many posts on the subject of PSA reviewing cards, but I have two different questions about it. I recently submitted 6 cards to PSA for reviews, of which 3 of them were graded 8 O/C. I requested a review of these cards and listed a minimum grade of 7 NQ. Has anyone ever submitted cards of a higher grade with a qualifier and requested a lower grade with no qualifier and had success? Also, can anyone tell me why PSA DOES NOT post the grades for reviewed cards when they are completed? Am I to wait until I receive the cards to learn if any of the cards achieved what I was seeking??? Any insight is appreciated. Thanks!

There are times it works. It just depends on qualifier. I would be diligent about measuring centering primarily. If you are looking to move an 8OC to a 7 NQ, it better fall within 7 centering guidelines. If it doesn't, you will end up with the card going in the holder that matches the centering. So you might have an 8OC that would otherwise sit in a PSA 3 holder if it's 90/10 front centering. It also depends on the eye appeal. if the card "looks" OC, even though it technically falls in the specs of a 7 grade, it may not get moved to a NQ holder. Some issues don't have this problem though, (55 Topps baseball comes to mind, the light yellow color where it meets the white border is usually blurred enough that even way oc doesn't always look that bad)

If the card however is out of focus, badly miscut or has a stain, you're never going to get it holdered with NQ.

    Hope that helps.

Depends on the strength of your argument I guess. I've seen some PSA 9 OCs that would probably get straight PSA 8s if sent back in.

    edit to add:
As was said above, if it's really OC, then keep the qualifier. This card for instance, the grader did me a favor. I asked for NO QUALIFIERS on my submission, and he gave me one anyway. Not that I'm complaining. The PSA 9 oc better captures the CONDITION of the card than a straight PSA 6 or 7. The corners are sharp and the card is physically flawless. Just the centering hoses the card.
