Adieu to 1957 Topps Baseball

I regret to report that I am leaving the 1957 Topps baseball world and breaking up my set. It's the 50th anniversary of its issue and a fitting time to leave. If anybody need anything special from my set, LMK.

Aww man, of all of the sets on the Registry, this is one of my two favorites. Thanks for being an inspiration and a very classy person to talk about the 57s. Good luck.

Frank, best of luck with it. You set is one of the greatest! You will retire it won't you so it stays on the registry?

This is one of the best 50s sets on the registry by a real first-class guy.

I am sad to see him break it but the price for the 9s that Frank needs are a small fortune with some big money guys competing against him.

    Probably a wise move.

Good luck Frank--don't compete against me please for the first psa 8 Mantle that appears.

    Thank You, UNBELIEVABLE set!
  • Frank,
You just got the #400 Dodgers Sluggers PSA 9! What, leaving cause Tony Soprano's getting whacked?
Maybe a #302 Koufax PSA 9 costing $67k+, or Charlie Merkel jumping in?
Whatever - no '57 registry collector has been more dedicated, your set is a great achievment and it's been an inspiration seeing you build it over the years. It's a sad day for us guys on the bench.
All the best, Russ/ aka Nippy Jones

Gorgeous run of cards - congrats on completion and retiring it on top. That Banks card is jaw dropping.

How much are you asking for your Mantle?

    Frank, unreal set.

If you "retire it", will it remain in the registry so that others can enjoy the scans?

If so, I hope you choose to do so.

Wow! That's an amazing set Frank! I just viewed the scans of your set and you did a tremendous job selecting your cards, especially in regards to centering. You are what I call a "set collector extraordinaire". Thanks for posting the scans and I wish you well with your future endeavors.
