  • I use the Lexmark X2350. Got it cheap from Wal-Mart and it does the job. And replacement ink cartridges aren't too expensive ($20). Any time you are checking into purchasing a printer, always price the replacement ink cartridges first.
Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

I have an HP 1200 series all in one. I think now they have gone up to the 1300s. It cost about $110 two years ago.

Very happy with it for my Ebay scans, documents, and copies. I have a higher grade Epson flatbed for scanning negs and slides.

Some examples from the HP @ 400 dpi and adjusted only for contrast -

  • We have an Epson CX6000. Beyond the basic stuff, like scanning for Ebay, I'm clueless. My wife's hobby is photography and she loves to use it for printing pictures. Replacement ink runs between $13 & $16.

For cheap all-in-one machines, the LEXMARK X7170 - and its successors -
work adequately for EBAY. The software is easy and the ink is not too
    expensive.

I have no doubt that the HP Officejet 5610 All-in-One will also meet your
needs. (I have had both good/bad luck with TigerDirect.)

If you plan on scanning a lot of PSA slabs and you want them to look good you need a scanner with a CCD element. Normal scanners don't handle depth well and you end up with blurry scans.

I notice that about the blurry scans image
