Tell me not to worry...

I won this card and paid by money order on May 17. It's my first ever 1/1 and fits into a set I've been collecting aggressively. (edit to say: I think I sent payment prior to May 17, but that's when I entered it on the eBay page.)

The card didn't show up and didn't show up, so I email the seller on May 30. He responds the next day, saying he was out of town and thought he emailed everyone to say shipping would be delayed. He said he's ship the card priority and would send a few free cards to make up for it.

So I wait. And wait.

Still no card.

I email on June 5, saying I still haven't received the card. I get no response.

Someone tell me not to worry.

That is what I would do also

Edit to add that I don't understand why people sell on ebay when they know that they are going out of town for 2-3 weeks. It seems like they have time to go to their banks to make deposits, but they don't have time to stop by the Post Office on the way.

Give him till Wednesday and then send him a firm yet polite email that you will file a claim with eBay.

Good luck and keep us posted.

I'm still waiting on a package from a trade in January. It was coming from Australia, so who knows where it ended up.

You have the means to do something about it. I'd wait til Monday and if no response, zap him.

The only recourse - if the card does not show up - is
    to complain to EBAY.

EBAY no longer offers ANY form of monetary protection
for buyers. PayPal is the only "protected" payment method.

I suspect the delayed card will arrive soon.

It looks like most of his recent feedback is about a month after the auction ended, he probably just ships slow. I've had late shippers ignore emails before, I think they were embarrassed that they shipped so late and as long as they had it shipped they figured I would be happy soon.

Hopefully you're ok in a few days, good luck!

I'm thinking I'll be ok, and the seller is just slow both to ship and to respond to emails. Last time I made a post like this I had a bubble mailer waiting for me. Maybe I'm hoping that'll happen again today.

Either way, why isn't shipping speed one of the new feedback categories? That's got to be one of eBay buyers' most common complaints. To me, it's a bigger issue than high shipping charges, as those are generally apparent before pressing the "bid" button.

There is a pretty good discussion about "Get It Fast" on the EBAY
stores board. The pinks are there too.

Sellers who are offering GIF are finding some problems. Buyers
pay the lowest S+H fee and expect the item to be delivered in
one day. Such buyers are leaving NEGs.

I have never taken more than two-days to ship a paid for item.
As a buyer, I seldom see such good service. I know not to expect
others to be as reliable on the issue as I am, so waiting for stuff
does not bother me. If a seller is too slow, he does not get any
    more of my money.

What a racket. They are almost forcing you to pay with Paypal and collecting their Paypal fees upon their FVF.

I just sent this email. The card didn't arrive on Friday or Saturday.

You emailed me on May 30 that you would send my card via Priority Mail. Today is June 9 and I have not (i) received my card, (ii) received an email from you, or (iii) received a response to my email asking when you mailed my card.

I hate to do this, but I am very close to opening an eBay dispute, as I need to know when I will receive my card. Please call me as soon as possible at xxx-xxx-xxxx to discuss this issue. I'll open and eBay dispute on Monday if I haven't heard from you.

As you know, this card is literally irreplaceable, and I very much look forward to adding it to my collection.

    Thank you very much.

Does ebay still offer resolution/reimbursement for items not received minus the $25 "processing" fee. I recall that I received a partial refund once that way when an item I had sent a check for never arrived. Unfortunately, once the $25 processing fee is subtracted from the amount of the payment, there's not always too much left to bother claiming. They used to cover up to $250 for any one single item as I recall.

Here are listing policy clarifications that we are implementing effective immediately:

Apple iPhone Pre-Sales are prohibited. This highly-anticipated device will be in high demand after the US release on June 29th, 2007. Prior to the release of similar high-demand electronics, we saw a high number of well-intentioned sellers unable to meet their pre-sale obligations to buyers due to restricted supply, as well as an increase in fraudulent listings for these items. To prevent similar problems with the iPhone, eBay is prohibiting all pre-sales of this device.

Criteria for Apple iPhone Post-Launch Sales. In order to continue to ensure protection for our Community after these items are made available by the manufacturer, the following requirements have been put in place for the sale of the iPhone:

-The listing must include a unique photograph of the item or items
-Your User ID must be clearly displayed within the photograph (watermarks will not be accepted).
-To ensure buyer protection, PayPal must be the only accepted form of payment

Sellers will also be notified of these requirements during the listing process when using the Sell Your Item form.

EBAY is now totally out of the reimbursement biznez.

They will give a bad seller "a strike," though. If it is
his first strike, they will even remove it for him when
    he makes a polite request.

If you do not know the seller, using anything other
than PayPal - funded via credit card - is risky biznez.

    /////

ANYBODY wanting an i-Phone would be well advised
to wait until the local stores have them. Hundreds of
folks will be scammed "buying" them on EBAY.
