Some colorful NEWPS!

A bunch of new arrivals, several courtesy of the Doog man. image

Germany 1 Mark, 1914-D. NGC MS67. Very common date. Not as vibrant as I'd hoped, but very nice surfaces and plenty of lustre.

Hannover 1 Pfennig, 1848-B. NGC MS66 BN. Lovely purple and blue overtones!

A pair of Canada $1, 1972. PCGS SP66. I just love the "splatter toning" that these get. Nice thing is that even in slabs, they're fairly cheap. Dimitri has some absolutely GORGEOUS ones that I photographed for him. Maybe I can convince him to post the pics? imageimage

Brazil 2000 Reis, 1926. NGC MS65. Not sure I agree with the technical grade, but I love the color!

Great Britain 1 Shilling, 1887. NGC MS64. My favorite coin of the bunch! That reverse is one of the most aesthetically pleasing I've seen in quite some time.

I agree with the above comment on the Brazilian. It has some nice color, though. The Jubilee head shilling is nice, too image

    Cool icon Doogy!

Cp, they're YOUR pictures, (images by coinpictures™ , I'll start using this in my auctios starting next fall), so you can post them whenever you feel like it.
For the record, two of them are last Christmas' swap gift from Gene and the other 71 came from Don. He had posted it back then at the swap, without an image (he was very technically challenged at the time image ), but with a note that they graded 8.5 at his toning scale, and that was enough information for me. The second one ended in a giveaway if I recall correctly.

Nice newps! I love that pfennig's design. image

The Christmas swap gifts from Gene.

The 8.5 out of 10 in ajaan's scale. A second twin remained unsold despite the $6 asking price and went to a happy giveaway winner.

Strike weakness is a problem with that issue, and the design makes it very hard to distinguish from wear. I wouldn't call it a 65, though. More like 62-63.

    Dimitri,

I meant to post yesterday if anyone owned this icon? i haven't noticed a darksider using it, and found it in the listing of icons PCGS had. I missed the last date to upload my own, so the pretty Una may have to do!

Yeah, I was thinking AU as well, but as is mentioned above, if the issue is prone to strike weakness, it may in fact be a MS piece. Regardless, it was purchased for the aesthetic color, not the technical grade...

This is probably why the grade doesn't figure prominently in the picture.
