Lou Brock RC's --- Guess the grades --- Am I a Cert Ho' ?

Please let me know what you think of these two Brock rookies in Beckett style subgrades (Centering/Corners/Edges/Surface) and what you think the PSA grade should be.

Trying to decide if I am actually a cert whore... image

I'll post the full scan and my subgrades later tonight. Thanks for your input.

guessing the left one is graded a 7 and the right is an 8 as the corners look better

I'll say 7 and 8...and if that one is an 8 are you interested in selling?

To me the Brock on the left would have the following subgrades :

    Centering: 7.5
    Corners: 6.5
    Edges: 7.5
    Surface: 7.5

    The Brock on the right:

    Centering: 7.5
    Corners: 6.5
    Edges: 7.0
Surface: 7.5 (the darker or lighter orange background and skin pigmentation colors mean nothing to me)

I owned/graded the 6 (thought it was a sure 7). Bought the 7 as an upgrade to the set I am selling, but as happens so often on 62's, there is little difference between 6's and 7's (and many 8's). Like with 1971's, different graders view this condition sensitive set differently. The fact that nobody guessed correctly (and guesses ranged from 5 to 8) probably emphasizes that point. I will happily keep my 6.

I like the card on the right as well. Probably needs to go back to Newport Beach.

The card on the left has much nicer color and eye appeal, IMO.

I would keep that 7 because I cant stand even the slightest of tilts on a card.
