PCGS Multiholders

Why does PCGS have a policy of a minimum of 100 coin submittal to get the multi holders?
Is it because of the added cost? I asked if I can pay extra and that was not an option.
I have a beautiful toned 1944 mint set that I wanted to keep them together(roommates)

yup, if you haven't already had them slabbed by PCGS, NGC is a good option. their multi-slabs are cool looking, and they make a nice NGC multi-slab box to fit these holders.

It's a different way for PCGS to say NO to you without coming out and saying it direct.

PCGS is saying NO to you by it's pricing and the way they place conditions on this purchase for the multi-holder service.

This way they can say yes we have it, but you will pay thru the nose.

It is OK for customers you never see again. It is not a smart business practice when you say NO by pricing to repeat customers.

It builds an animosity and resentment with a repeat customer that is rarley forgotten.

IMHO, These guys running PCGS seem to make decisions like small shop owners rather than like a public company.

For example, I saw an earliar post asking if one should grade a 20th Anniversary Set thru PCGS even though PCGS will NEVER give an MS70 for the 2006 W Unc.

I have 10 unopened sets and the last place in the world I will go is PCGS, despite the fact I love my Platinum Membership, I love the Board and I like PCGS most days.

I will NEVER place PCGS's interest in allowing no MS70's for my 2006 W Unc Silver before my own interest in getting an MS70 at NGC.

That no-70's rule is absoutely stupid! If a silver Jamestown Unc $1 Comm can get an MS70 at PCGS, then an American Eagle $1 Silver should be able to get one too.

They are grading 'on the come' or the anticipation of milk spots! No logical explanation has ever been given because ther is NONE!

The Jamestown's are not bullion silver so they apparently do not have a spot problem.
