During this year the mint made in effect four different Half Dollars.
First question: Why two different types. Capped Bust and Seated.

Sorry had to use this still looking for a 1839 for my set.

Second question: Why in this last year of the Capped Bust did they start making them in New Orleans?

Third question: The firt 100,000 are sub typed as No drapery. Why where they changed then to have the drapery from the elbow.

Oh and BTW there where a few Proof coins also.

The more I look at types of Half Dollars the more I wonder if we can say the set is complete at this.
