Aussie Lunar gold have a little more premium than regular bullion (series completed with the 2007 pig). Aussie Kooks are silver only (the gold equivalent would be Aussie Kangaroos - design changes every year and started in 1990). China Panda (design changes every year and started in 1982) and Mexican Libertads (design does not change) have higher prmium as well. Other bullion gold are Isle of Man Cats (design changes every year) higher premium than regular bullion. Gibraltar Cherubs (same as Isle of Man Cats as both are minted by Pobjoy). Isle of Man Angel (does not change design, higher premium than normal). Austria Philharmonic (does not change design). UK Britannia (some design changes but not yearly, highest prmium among bullion). South Africa Krugerrand (design does not change, lowest premium). I have seen Singapore Lions and Lunars, South Africa Natura series, Swiss Helvetia. There are probably others I have missed.

Much appreciated my friend. Are all of these considered BULLION coins like the GSA's from the US and Canadian MAPLES and not commemorative coins? I know most countries make Commemoratives, but I'm not interested in those. Canada for one makes tons of those, but again I'm not interested. I'm just looking for a standard BULLION coin if that makes any sense. LOL

I was thinking about expanding into a couple of different countries BULLION only coins like the Maples, Krugerrand, Libertad or Panda. Just something FUN to put together.

Yep. They are bullion as they are issued in troy ounce multiples and fractional sizes. Unlike the commems which usually are not a multiple of a troy ounce or a fractinal part of a troy ounce. Also, unlike commems they are issued regularly (most, every year).

Word has it the Lunar's are starting a new series for 2008.

So look out for the new Rats around November!
