Widescreen LCD monitor

Well I've found a big setback for me with a widescreen. All the stamps I view are elongated, so it's really difficult to ascertain centering. Anybody know how to adust the picture to a regular size? I've gone into the monitors control panel with no luck unless i just want to move the image around.

You should be able to adjust it on the monitor itself by going into its internal menu settings and changing video to a 1:1 ratio; very similar to using wide screen tvs.
