Estimated Grades?

Should "Estimated Grades" compete with PCGS graded coins in the Registry? I am sure most of these coins were looked upon by PCGS advisory boards in the past, but were never actually recorded by PCGS or slabbed by PCGS. To me this would not be any different than having an NGC, ANACS or any other company competing in the Registry. Example: 1900 Proof 20$ in the Eliasberg set has an PCGS pop of 0/0, but is in the 1900 Proof set with gold. Any comments Please.

I'm not informed enough to comment on your thread.
But, I did want to do this-

And I would not worry too much about the all time sets or even the retired sets for ranking. Look to the current finest if that is your thing.

<< <i>Just a thought on that coin time, handling, and maybe a change or two of the holder may of droped the grade from when it was in the set. And it may not be the same coin.
