Very bad year for Detroit sports fans

First the Redwings and then the Pistons fail to make the championship series. I guess there is some hope for the Tigers.

The Lions? - don't even go there. image

  • I guess things could have worked out better, but on the other hand we have plenty of teams here in Michigan that make it to the playoffs and have a chance. Some states don't have that so I guess we're ok overall. Hope the Tigers can have another great year. I like how we won a few finally against the Indians.

Hey if New England can turn it around then so can Michigan!

Very Bad? Hardly... Disappointing is the only way to put it. Both teams made it to the conference championship series and both lost in 6 games. The Tigers are again playing fairly well, so they're at least showing signs that last year wasn't a total fluke. The Lions will likely suck, but they did get what was perceived to be the best player in the draft. Very Bad??? C'mon, it's actually been a sports year most cities would die for.

Yeah as a KC fan I would be sick to my stomach if the Chiefs and Royals failed to make the championships.

At least the Wizards are doing good. image

Not a bad year, not sure if the Wings were suppose to go as far as they did?? Not sure what happened to the Pistons, they are lucky they did not get swept. Tigers still contending this year, after being in the W.S. last year. Heck I am happy with what we have done here.

Yeah, many had the Wings projected in the 6-8 seed for the playoffs at best. They struggled in the last series, but I'm content considering my lack of optimism at the beginning of the year. The Pistons were the real disappointment for me to this point, but the conference finals is still not a bad finish. The Tigers struggled for a couple of weeks, but finally hung a couple games on Cleveland. The Lions will likely suck as usual, but I actually do expect their offense to be exciting to watch. There's so many questions on D, nobody can expect them to go far but I'll take exciting until they build me a contender - lol
