Pin Grading/Encapsulation

So I see here that as of January 1, 2007, pins will also be included in the player sets. I was wondering how pins are graded and slabbed. I assume that PSA is using the larger memoribilia holder for these pins. Does anyone have any knowledgable insight on the situation? TIA.

They use the same holders that they use for coins. Like mentioned they are smaller, yet thicker than a regular holder. There's a Nolan Ryan pin in the Master Set if you want to check one out.

  • What if the pin is not round or circular? How about any other shape?
What are the grading guidelines for pins?
