I have a complete set of 1961 1-221 Fleer Football Cards (SOLD 6/14/07). A friend was a checker at a super market in the 60's and bought these in packs and put them in an album right away and left them there. He only collected Football so this is one of 2 sets 1 full set 1 first run 1-132 Topps. I meant to ask for advice on whether to try this set on Trading forum or just go for it on ebay. Any advice is appreciated. I've been selling a big collection for the last 6 months and have a real appreciation for sports cards which I had forgotten about since I was a kid. Now I have put many hours into really understand the grading the nuances of knowing a clean card from a 4/5 and crease/trim etc. Just took one cynic to kick dirt in my face. These are not for sale here.

2. 9 pocket pages didn't exist when these cards were new.
3. "album slots are a bit short so there are some with tiny loss of sharp edge" means they're probably 5s at best.
4. "A friend was a checker at a super market in the 60's and bought these in packs and put them in an album right away and left them there." I've never heard a story like this; gosh how fortunate for him to know to put these in an album and save them for almost 50 years.
5. I'm the only cynic on this board; everybody else will probably swamp you with offers.

Wrong forum and wrong crowd for these....Mark and I are not neophytes. Back up the truck and ship 'em to EBAY.
Always looking for 1957 Topps BB in PSA 9!
"R.E. MorrellMan "Expert Collector" Yeah right!
Make up you mind moron ... Your Not a cynic just young...."
Well Morrellman isn't a moron and he certainly isn't young.
Also, of the 18 cards pictured,
the Bart Starr card would get a 7 from PSA at best
and none of the other cards would be worth wasting a grading fee on.
Just my honest, expert opinion. By the way, welcome to the boards ...

Aw, comon Paul - I'm younger than you.
Here's Bob's latest trophy, in case he wants to edit it again:
R.E. MorrellMan "Expert Collector" Yeah right! Make up you mind moron. You did say no spam yet you seem to full of it. I changed the listing to be in line and compliance with this forum. Get a life and shut up. Like I said thanks for welcoming me to the forum you complete idiot.

1. Spam is the term for drumming up sales interest in an item on a chat board forum when a more appropriate forum for that exists.
2. Not so sure about the Starr card; looks like a little thing happening in the lower left corner.
3. Wading into a chat board calling other members juvenile names is an excellent way to get off on the right foot. Welcome to the boards.

I think you have missed your calling as a public relations man. Your short welcome here
is noted by any buyers with any sense on this board. Good luck on e-bay with your
mid grade cards.
BTW, what does being a checker have to do with collecting cards?
Where do these people come from?
If you are interested I have 9 slot binder pages from the 60's along with a cell phone from
1961. Oh yea, that land in Florida is still available too.

I don't see that anywhere in Mark's post..

Mark(Morrell Man) is one of the greatest guys in the hobby.
You are making a big mistake. Apologize and move on.

He's the expert here and doesn't want to be taken by us sharks. Peddle you
sh$t someplace else. If you want graded money for your cards, get them graded
first, before you ask 9 money for a raw card.

Listen to Dav move on from this. Also if we were billed in a certain manner why did you even come here. Leave it be and quit taking jabs or its just going to get worse

Welcome to the boards
You might want to send some of the cards in your picture in for grading..."GEM" grading would be the first place I would suggest. You could bet on getting some high grades from them... Bulk sale on EBAY would be another good way to get rid of these cards...1960"s football in this grade is very common. Welcome to the boards!!!!!!
