More Star Wars Takara Scans

Borst,

Per your request, here's a few scans of some 1977 Star Wars Takara (Japanese) cards that just came back from PSA. They are slightly oversized but still fit in the standard sized holders with the oversized opening. Very high quality cards, I love these.

Paul is THE MAN when it comes to tracking down mint, obscure, foreign cool looking Star Wars cards! There should be a PSA Set Registry Award for that category...

Thanks for showing those to us!

Those are very cool looking cards, what do the backs look like? I assume it's all just Japanese and no numbers.

Also about how much do those cards go for raw/graded?

You are exactly right about the backs, although there are numbers. Here's a scan of a few:

As far as raw, sometimes you can get a deal in the $10 range... but for NM/MINT cards I usually offer around $20 each if they are mint and I need them for my set. It's a 40 card set, and I still need a few to complete mine.... I've been working on my set for only 3 years though, I'll finish it eventually.

These are awsome cards. Where can you find them?
  • Options
They were in 5-card packs, in 108 piece puzzles, made in Japan in 1977 by Takara. If you are looking for them now, you might try toy collectors? They can run $100-$200 a puzzle though, so getting a set of all 40 would be expensive.
