Home Metal Detecting

You guys are smart - What's this that I found?

Not metal detecting but it does fall into your realm. Here are your clues. I have no idea what it is.

I live on Camp Foster in Okinawa Japan. I found this two days ago jogging alongside a sidewalk that was being torn up. There was piled dirt from the excavation and this was in the dirt. It's possibly aluminum but maybe some crappy zinc covered steel as well.

It's likely an M or a W and I considered that it could have had something to do with Morale, Welfare, and Rec (MWR) but alas, no R.

I'm in Japan it could be a game center arcade token but my daughter is 8, half Japanese and I've been to all of the local game centers.

It could be a Pacinko Token but no parlors here have this symbol, but I don't gamble so I don't know.

Anyone ever seen this before? I was thinking golf ball marker, but no golf course nearby at least not real close, but it was by a sidewalk (i.e. dropped change).

If you've ever seen it before let me know.....it's making me crazy.

Same thing on the back. It's roughly Kennedy half dollar size. Just a hair smaller. Smooth edge.

It appears to be a corporate logo of some sort. Like you said, an M or a W. My vote is on W. But I could've been influenced by the orientation you chose for your photo.

The style of the logo kinda reminds me of a snake or the Loch Ness Monster. image
