<< <i>Nice cards! That Williams looks fantastic for a 5 >>
All 3 are sweet, especially the Williams!
Do you think the premiums I paid understandable for the condition of the cards?

Just wondering if others pay premiums for nice cards?
I have searched for well over a year for a nice Hank Aaron rookie that was aestically pleasing (mainly looking for near 50/50 centering and clean surface) for under $1000. The Ted williams was probably the only one close to a "whim"...was looking at his jackie rookie when i saw the beautiful "5" 1941 Ted. I put a snipe in about 3-4 days before auction close, but wasn't really looking for a 1941 Ted williams card when i happenned across it, but it was such a beauty for a 5. For $900+ i believe it was a great deal.
Williams looms as one of the great hitters of modern times.
I wonder how many vintage collectors in 1949 looked down on the "modern " collectors, telling them that they should just burn their cards because they will never be worth anything.
