Can the general public really get excited about invisible coins?

That's exactly what the Presidential dollars are. Unlike state quarters, the dollars just aren't seen.

Interesting point. I think these will be basically mint-issued collector coins, similar to proof sets. Who gets excited over Sacs if none are found in circulation?

Yep, pretty weird....I have gone through 4 boxes and pulled a lot of the varieties including some blank D edges. Paid over 300 just to my tax guy, spent over 1500 in buying things for the house, paying over 800 in fuel over the past 2 months.etc.......I have NEVER received a single one in change yet.
This is a very dumb ass thread. - Laura Sperber - Tuesday January 09, 2007 11:16 AM image

I thought this was going to be about 1964-D Peace dollars! image

I doubt they will get ask excited as the SHQs which can be found in circulation. Everybody and their brother knows someone collecting SHQs.

I've asked a few merchants if they get Prexy bux and lately they've all been saying yes. But get this, I talked to a guy at a popular shop around 11am. He told me he gets the Prexy Bux all the time but hates them. He got 20 that morning. I asked if he hands them out in change and he says no way, they immediately go into the "safe" which is a locked box with a slot, the coins go in, but don't come out until the end of the day.

How can the public get them if the banks don't have them?
