whatcha think of this idea....in regards to PCGS's slabbing formats
have "year slabs" available.
like in the lincoln cent series...
one slab for 1909 that would have all four coins in it for that year...09...09 VDB...09-S....09-S VDB.
one slab for 1910 that would have all both coins in it for that year...1910...1910-S.
one slab for 1911 ...P...D...S....
and so on...no matter how many coins were issued that year by all the mints......1...2....3....4 even 8 (for 1982)
you could even get slabs that would include the proof issues for the years that had proofs.
If for some reason you didn't have one of the coins that would "fill up" a particular holder....it would just be left empty........
then you send in that slab, along with one that will "fill it up" whether it be a single slabbed coin ...or a submission coin ....re-slab fee's+submission fee...gotta be a win win situation for PCGS!
each coin would of course have an area above that had its grade and all the usual info.
this way i'd have only 98 slabs instead of nearly 500.
good idea?...bad?
Mr. Hall what do you think?
any of you other yayhoo's can give a opinion too!

And PCGS would have to stock 800 different slabs instead of 50.
its not like they'll give em away!
