Heritage auction: Outbid, now I'm not?

I bid on a coin on the Heritage site yesterday, and recieved a confirmation email. I just noticed that I received another email sometime today, showing I was no longer high bidder. Two more bidders had bid, and it showed the new high bid. Oh well. But now I just received a new confirmation email, showing me back as the high bidder, at my original high bid. I checked the site, and it shows me as winning, without the two extra bidders/bids that the email showed. I'm not worried about bidding more, because I'm maxxed at what I care to pay. I'm just curious what is going on.

Might Heritage have accepted retractions? Or maybe they couldn't confirm the bids that overtook you?

i think some people must have bid, regretted it and called heritage
for a retraction.

give them a call and ask. it is amazing how a simple polite question
to dealers or auction houses can lead to them telling you the truth
about the situation. why do they care to hide it? a mistake is a mistake as long as the hammer has not slammed down saying sale.

I have bid on 2 items and was the high bidder on both. I have since been sent an email that says I have been outbid on 1 item. I will keep an eye out to see if my bid becomes the high big again and I will let you know if that happens to me as well.

I just got home again, and now there are two more outbid notices. And looking at my Heritage account, it now shows I am losing. It's one of those ones that I don't really feel bad about, because my bid was quite a stretch to begin with.

Thats weird. Maybe they had a glitch or something. I still am winning one auction but am a loser on the 2nd auction.

With some HA lots available on eBay, maybe a bid was retracted there.
