Another Ebay Rant

I know that sellers shipping charges have been thuroughly discussed here, but I just needed to vent a little bit. I don't mind paying $2-$3 for shipping on a single card or small lot, if I think the seller is charging to much for shipping I just don't bid. Today I get 2 plain white envelopes with cards, both of which I was charged $3 for shipping, no big deal both cards arrived in advertised condition so no real problem. The one that bothered me and just threw me off was a small lot of cards (29) that I paid $2 for shipping, they arrive in a bubble mailer with .75 worth of stamps and postage due of .87, I guess it just rubbed me the wrong way. Sorry for the rant guys.

MANY sellers are blissfully unaware of the latest postage hikes.

The problem should disappear within the next month.

  • You are probably right storm, I vented here and then sent him a polite email telling him what had happened and that I felt he should know so he could fix the problem on his future mailings. The guy sells a lot of stuff on ebay so I'm sure my email won't be the only one.

.................or they are trying to get over on the PO during the change.

Everyone and my mom knew the post office raised prices. Im to think a guy that sells alot on ebay did not know?

    Steve
    Good for you.
  • I was blissfully unaware too... I had calculated postage based on the new rates, applied $2+ in postage, hauled a bubble envelope down to the PO, and was told that because it was more than 3/4" thick, the postage would be $4.95. I'm still in disbelief but I paid it. It doesn't seem as though it's going to be as easy to figure the cost of shipping from home anymore.
