Went looking for VAMS at the recent Denver Coin show. Found these (all were bought from dealers loose @ $12.50 each across the board).
1880 VAM-1A Knobbed 8 (these are usually in low grade)

1880 VAM-6 8/7 Spiked 8

1888-O VAM-4 Hot Lips

1899-O VAM-6 Micro o

1921-S Rim Clip

1921 VAM-2 Infrequent Reeding

1921-D VAM-1B1 Die Break Above "R"

1922 Reverse Rotated 15 Degrees

1922-D Reverse Rotated 60 Degrees

1922 VAM-1F Die Break in Reverse Field

1922-D VAM-2F Die Break Above "T"

1922-D VAM-2N Die Break in Obverse Field

1923 Possibly Struck On Type-1 Planchet

1934-D VAM-3 Doubled Die Obverse (Large D)

1921-D Leadville "Sticker Dollar"

The rest are not VAMS, but still pretty nice

There were a few other nice non-VAMs, but those are the highlights

I guess it sounded better than "Herpes Lips".
Edit to add: there's some interesting stuff there. Not enough to bring me into the VAM-cherrypicking fold (I've never been much of one for VAMs or Overton or Sheldon varieties or die varieties in general), but they are kinda neat, I gotta admit.

Great haul!!!!

<< <i>Nice haul for one show. There's no such thing as a 1921 VAM 2, though. The diagnostics for theother varieties (13, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29) are too small to pick up well in your pictures. I don't see "teeth" above STATES on the reverse, so probably not VAM 25 or 27. >>
The coin pictured above does not have the doubled "N", and it does not have the die polish "teeth" above STATES. So what VAM would it be then ?
<< <i>Please PM me the names of the dealers you "picked"
Great haul!!!! >>
Sorry, that is a trade secret
