That card is a tad OC top to bottom. A PSA 8 Griffey (NM-MT) is about $20 on ebay, so it looks like you paid a bit too much for that one (ungraded).

  • Oh okay...So i shouldn't send it in right?... I have no idea about this grading stuff. Ive been collecting cards since i was 7 and I stopped iaround 97, but unfortunately its all 80's and 90's cards. I want to get into vintage but being a college student, i cant afford any nice vintage cards.

In this case, the same amt of $$ would have bought you a PSA 8 Griffey, but if that card is mint with four sharp corners, it might grade an 8 even with the centering issue. Good luck!

Word of advice from one college student to the next. Buy what you can, when you can. I am very pleased with my collection, and it's fun looking at it because I remember where I was at in my college career when I bought them. Other advice, buy cards already graded by PSA till your ready to settle down a little and you have more time on your hands. Any questions, feel free to PM me.

Thanks for the advice, I think ill just start buying my cards graded from now on. I also like my collection, as every card has a story. When i was younger I tried to get every single Griffey jr card i can get a hold of but i can never get my hands on the 89 upper deck...until today. The card hobby has changed a lot since i was last into it, so im glad ive found this forum as there is some nice helpful people here. Thanks for your replies everyone.
