Anyway to find out who hit a foul ball?

So, a few years ago I finally caught a foul ball and it was at a Colorado Springs Skysox game (Rockies minor league affiliate). I know the date of the game and I should have the ticket stub around as well. At the time I was not concerned about getting it signed so I went home with the ball as it was hit to me and I wrote the date on it. I would now like to know who could have hit it and have them sign it.

Does anyone know if stats are available stating what balls from a minor league game were hit foul?

The cool thing about the game beyond finally getting a ball... it was "bark at the park" night. You could bring your dog if you wanted and you could sit in the left field grass with them. My dog and I caught a ball.

I would hate to have that job:

"Yes, I keep track of all the foul balls at the minor league park. I have to tell my superiors who-when-where the foul ball was hit."

    Umpires usually remember everything.

If you have the night's program, you should be
able to do some detective work and get the
    answer to your question.

It might be a fun hunt.

not a chance that you will find out who hit it, unless something can jog your memory....I can't imagine there are any charts like that in the minors....and even if there were, there was probably 5 or 6 foul balls (at least) hit to left field during the course of the game.

Talk to the team. Maybe they still have the same scorekeeper.

Also ask them about any regular or old timer fans. There is usually some fan or group of fans that make just about every game and keep score. I see several of them at our Twins A ball games down the street from the house. These guys can tell you everything about the team and the games.

  • I have contacted the Skysox. So far I have found out that they played the Albuquerque Isotopes that night. Video footage was always taken of the games but I can only hope that it is archived. Can't wait for the Skysox response.

    This is kinda fun image

Was MiLB Gameday available then? If so, you can see the specific pitches and results---if you could try to remember the approximate inning, that could be a big help.

Looking for Jonny Gomes cards, especially Triple Threads and printing plates. Will consider all cards, though. Got something? Contact me at c_u_l_1@yahoo.com

i am very fuzzy on any details... i think it was near the middle of the game. the sox got pounded and my dog was being a pain the whole time so my attention to the game was limited.
