post card dilemma

Does anyone have a clear understanding on how the grading for post cards, that happen to be autographed, works? I sure don't. I sent in TWO post cards (separate submissions) of two different players, and the post cards were autographed by the player pictured on them. On the form, i clearly wrote the year of the issue, and specified that i wanted them WITH a grade (thinking that these might be candidates to add to the Player Set Registry). When i got them back, NEITHER card had the year on them (even though i gave a reference in the SCD book to support how i knew what year they were). They were simply identified as "post card", with the player's name, with the PSA/DNA certified number, and one of them didn't even have a numeric grade, but just said "Authentic". For this, i waited over a month, and paid 20 bucks each (plus shipping), and didn't get what i asked for. So these post cards have no real identity to them, other than what someone SEES on them: no year specified, and certainly no way to add them to the Registry. I don't feel like mailing them back in, paying yet MORE fees and shipping costs, to try and get what i asked for--especially if it just isn't going to happen. What is the box on the form for, that says "WITH GRADE" if they're not going to give it one--and why do they leave the YEAR off? If anyone could please enlighten me, i'd appreciate it!

The submission protocol is just too difficult on these items.

PSA really needs to make the process more simple,
easier to understand, and encourage more such submissions.

I am pretty smart - and pretty dumb - but I have never
been able to get the process correct, either.
