I have no idea on the price issue... But if I collected shooting thalers (or bears for that matter) The price would seem reasonable to me, I pay what I think a coin is worth VS whatever a catalog may say it is worth. I saved the pics, inverted the colors and see no signs of wear, though it shows a few more contact marks that aren't easily seen in the original pics. I was a little concerned at first as the pics seems to be a little, uhmmm... Shiny? Again, if it were something I collected I would pay that amount for the coin and be happy to add it to my collection. Looks like a nice find to me! Congrats on the new addition to your bear harem... Looks like it might've been cleaned, but it also looks like it was a scan rather than a photograph, and scans tend to wash out the luster. Might turn out to be quite nice in hand.
