Anaconda - Looking for input on our upcoming ad.

I know that posting this may ruffle some feathers but if you look at our upcoming ad, a picture of which I have put in the buy sell trade forum, now that we know what our next one looks like, we were working on the one after that. We're looking for constructive criticism with regard to this ad.

Cool. We're glad to help you sell your PQ coins.
  • Overall I think this is a great add – certainly a great add from a design/artistic standpoint. The only change I personally would make is the first sentence after “Protect Your Investments:” at the bottom of the page. It’s a good point to make and I certainly understand what you are saying, I just feel that it may be worded more clearly. JMHO

There is a lot of capitalization going on. I Find it Distracting When I Read Your Sentences. My suggestion would be to go from title capitalization where every word starts with a capital to sentence capitalization, where only the first word starts with one. Certainly don't just throw in a couple of capitalized words in the middle of an otherwise sentence-capitalized sentence (e.g., "We will personally fly out and securely pick-up Large Collections"). Also, "pickup" doesn't need a hyphen. Item 3 under consignments to ARC says "Guaranteed sale in 30 days*", but there is no corresponding asterisk to explain what the special terms are. Finally, the heading "Auction Consignments" doesn't immediately make it clear that you're talking about consignments with "the other guy" - at first I'm reading those negatives and thinking that your service really kind of stinks and you're just being honest about it!

Forget about the ad. I want one of those J-73's. Those are wicked cool. image

I was going to say the same thing as Pendragon said! And add:

    1. Change #2 under "Consignments to ARC" to read: "Get paid fast! Immediate payment once sale is completed."
    Not Payment Immediately.

    2. Don't forget to add whatever it is your going to add at the bottom of the page concerning the "*" under #3.

    3. Don't capitalize every word.

    4. Either add the word "Other" to the beginning of the opposing "Auction Consignment" list or flip-flop the two. Put yours on the left side of the page.

    5. Under your "Protect your Investment" spill at the bottom, word it, "...best interest to get the highest possible value for your coins due to the fact that we work off of a set %......"

    6. Word the last sentence in that paragraph, "Sell them for what they are really worth, using:" <--be sure to pt the colon at the end so it'll look like it's leading you to the bold "Anaconda Rare Coin Consignment Program" that's under that paragraph.

Well, I've picked it apart enough i guess. I LOVE that background!!!!!!!!!

  • The ad is TERRIFIC! Great look, ultra professional. I would do some word smithing here and there, nothing major. Would be happy to help out if asked. Some of the other respondents offered good feedback. One thing though, I think I read a comment to this effect in one of the other feedbacks; I would make it an US vs. THEM as opposed to a Them vs. US. Switch the columns.
You guys should be very proud of your work.

It should have had a corresponding explanation to ask for further details. We'll be fixing that.

Actually, I found the * explanation in another thread. The explanation of the policy is actually a good selling point, and for me, it would a positive thing to explain in the body of the ad if space permits.

    I love it...

But drop the two ?? after "Thinking of selling your coins"

    Leave it at 1.

    or 3...2 is odd.

I think you should swap the Auction consignments VS Consignments with ARC list. Put the consignments with ARC list first in the AD. Never start with a negative.

What is the relevance of the degree notations after your name?

Your offer to fly out to buy coins entirely contradicts your "Protect Your Investment" message immediately above - that consigning coins to ARC is better than selling them to a dealer.

Uh oh....looks like Richard Nachbar is gonna have to bump up the mojo in his ad as well.

Number 2 needs more clarification to hook me, like how am I paid Immediate wire transfer of what/ How fast is fast?

Number 6 When I see the word "tricky" it plants a seed that this may be "tricky" also. what is the commisson/ Heck if you said 9% flat rate you could have alot of biz quickly.

Are you insured while my coins are in your possesion?

Just my thoughts and I hope for your success!

    My suggestions:

    1. Should change to "Consignments to other firms" instead of "Auction Consignments"
    2. Use smaller fonts for item#1-8 (Black for others' auctions versus Red or Blue for ARC's auctions)
    3. If there is a Seller's fee, spell it out in percentage (%). If no Seller's fee, say it so.
    4. Low Commission % is for buyers (I assume). Is it a FLAT % or a range from 5% to 15% ?

Overall, it's a very nice add.
