so your the one who gets decent cards from sportlots, all I have ever got was complete junk. got 4 separate 2-6 card lots from different sellers on there today, all shipped in a regular envelope and some were put 2 to a penny sleeve with a yellow-brown card saver and shipped just like that. Congrats though, looks like a couple of really nice cards in that sub.

Oh believe me, I've got an 800 ct box FULL of absolute garbage off there. The way I look at it though, the handful of psa 9 or 10 cards I get will pay for a large stack of garbage that I paid 18 cents for.

Most sellers ship in plain envelopes, just as you say. A few have shown up that fell out of the top loaders or card savers, but many have been shipped properly and arrived on my doorstep in great shape. I'm pretty darn happy so far. The Brown, Moore and Mayberry would probably pay for all the orders I've ever placed on sportlots. Problem is, I can't sell them as I need them for my sets. image

I am ready to send in a free voucher from my sets as well-what service level did you indicate on the box?
    Thanks.

Ugh. Are you just sending in one card? You know, if you hold on to it, you can request to have all your freebies added to one submisison form once you have several at the 75% level. Otherwise you end up paying return shipping per card, which isn't a good deal unless you're submitting a $500 card. Just a thought.

At any rate, I just wrote "Set Reg Free" on the outside of my box and it was entered in the day after received and was done in 5 total days.
  • I'm sending in 7 cards (on one voucher) which cover 6 different sets...Dropping in the mail tomorrow. Thanks for the info!

    nice!!!! well worth the "wait?"
  • envoy98envoy98 Posts: 4,000 ✭✭
Yeah, not much of a wait. That 189 card order, now that's been a wait. Left my hands on 3/10... I'm REALLY hoping tomorrow is the day. But based on what I've seen of a couple other subs from that deal, I might be willing to wait for someone else to grade my sub. A 100 card, all modern (2006 SPA baseball) order came back all 8's and 9's. Not a single 10 in the bunch. I'm expecting in the neighborhood for 45 10's on my sub. If I only get a handful I'll flilp.

I have another 14 card free set reg sub at PSA now that was received the same day as this one. Hoping that one pops tomorrow or at least by Wednesday so I can have a chance to get them added to my sets.

Ah, good deal. It's not really worth it otherwise. I made the mistake with two of those and then said to myself, this makes no sense. I'm better off sending these in with a $5/card special instead. I just recently found out you could combine them all on one invoice so I was ecstatic about that. Didn't mean to sound like a jerk in my original post. I reread it and it sounded a little arrogant. I didn't mean for it to sound that way. image

WOW, that's a fast turnaround for a voucher sub! NICE JOB!

Yes it was, I was very happy! If you look at it, it was actually only 3 business days. Now I just hope they can get my other sub done...but with good grades. image
