Any large Coin Shows in the Buffalo area this summer?

DoubleEagle59DoubleEagle59 Posts: 8,377 ✭✭✭✭✭
As a follow-up to my previous post regarding driving times to coin shows, I've been contemplating driving to Upper state NY for a good coin show this summer.
Which one should I go to?
Thanks for your answers!

    I'm not sure.

    I checked www.coinshows.com and didn't see one.

You just missed our biggest show in years the end of April in Niagara Falls.

We should be having a 90 or so table show in the fall in Cheektowaga, but I'm not sure of the date yet.

Here is a link to the Buffalo Numismatic Association (They usually sponsor the local shows). It has their monthly little ones, but don't see the fall one yet.

The Niagra Show is kinda like the Hot Springs Show. It hardly ever, if ever, gets mentioned.

Depends on what you define as a good coin show. There aren't many left in N.Y. these days, although I do recommend the Albany, N.Y. monthly show. This show takes a break in July and August, but it is by far the largest bourse in N.Y. at present(about 70 dealers). If you make it to N.Y. by June 3, be sure to attend. The only summer show in upstate N.Y. that I would travel to is in Clayton, N.Y. which is in the 1000 Islands region. This 2 day show is in late July, and usually accomodates about 30 dealers. Plenty to enjoy there on a sightseeing basis if the show isn't up to your expectations... image

    There's a 25-dealer show in Syracuse on June 17th.

It's not exactly close to Buffalo, but it might be on your way (depending on where you're coming from).

Most shows in western New York are either in the Spring or the Fall and even the monthly shows take a break in the Summer.
