Cameo Cards?

Do any other player collectors collect "cameo" cards of your player? I just placed an order at SportsLots for like 30 new cameo cards. I'm excited to get them, as most I've never seen. It's also nice that they're so cheap - most were just $.18 each.
The hardest part, I think, is getting a list of available cards. I was lucky enough to find one (that I've actually had for seven years, but only now really noticed).
Anyway, here are a few examples from my current collection:

<< <i>Can you explain to me what a "cameo card" is? Thanks.

If you are a player collector, a Cameo card, as ajw has referred to it, means a card of another player that features your collected player in the background/photo of the card. AJW posted a few cards of other players that all include Will Clark, who ajw collects.
Personally, I generally don't get these, although I did pick up a nice looking 1976 OPC Steve Ontiveros card, which features Mike Schmidt fairly prominently in the card.
Here's an example of the 1976 Steve Ontiveros/Mike Schmidt card that Mike mentioned. Too bad Schmitty's looking the other way.

I do not see the reason to collect them though if they are just a blurry image in the background and not recognizable.
Since that wasn't the topic of your post, I am not a player collector, but I think the idea is a cool one. I know the feeling of hitting a wall with your collection so this would be a cool way to branch out and still make progress.
...and sportlots is awesome. I've even gotten some VERY gradeable cards from varied sellers for my assorted key card football sets. I've kept track of the better ones.

<< <i>I thought you were referring to the seller Cameo Cards. I met him at the Sun Times show in October, overpriced and not particularly friendly. >>
I thought the same thing as well, I met him at the Shriners convention last fall.
Check out Howie Long's 1991 Upper Deck football card. He's hanging out with George Brett on the sidelines.

Any Sandberg collector probably needs the 83 Topps Reggie Smith card for completeness sake. The 64 Eddie Mathews, in addition to being a cool card, has Bad Henry warming up in the background.
And there's this beauty...
(Any Wes Unseld fan would have to break down and just buy complete sets for most of the late 70's Topps issues...)
Collector of Pittsburgh Pirates cards for a slightly less stupid reason.

Was Crowley actually planning on sliding? Looks like he's afraid Munson is going to punch him.

I've had very much the opposite experience with Greg. Either you both caught him on a bad day or I got him on a few good ones.
