    They have some very optimistic estimates, that's for sure image Hoping for 250 Euro each for those Mexican Colonial 8 Reales? I hope they get it, is all I have to say.

    hmmmm.... all the coins I saw had much higher than expected estimates. Are the auctioneers too optimistic or is the exchange rate making the European auctions un-affordable for the US folks?

    Without a doubt, the exchange rate is unfavorable to collectors in the US. However, the german state material I was viewing does not look to be out of line considering the results of the last auction. I can't comment on other parts of the auction.

    Got my catalogs yesterday and the quality seems a little low for Kuenker. I think this is a new sale in their usual rotation and probably the bigger auction will be the usual fall auction. The euro is still killing us and as always it's still hard to pay a "Kuenker price" for a coin. I think I will sit this one out and bid stronger in the current US auctions. 3Mark
    I'm traveling on memory and running out of fuel.
