Can someone please tell me what this is?

I recieved a quarter the other day and it looks completely normal, except on one of the sides it is a copper tint. It looks basically like this. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi Kevin,

    Based on the weight fo your coin (4.7 grams versus the standard weight of 5.7 grams), your coin appears to be a mint error on which the clad layer on the obverse is missing. One would expect the coin to be thinner than usual and the strike may be weaker than normal because of the distance between the dies.
